My introduction to Functional Medicine occurred during my tenure as a Primary Care Provider within conventional medicine. In my quest for more profound and impactful ways to assist my patients, family, and myself, I found myself in a state of restlessness. Those six years as a PCP were pivotal, highlighting the stark divide between traditional medicine’s approach to disease prevention and resolution. While acknowledging the place of pharmaceutical medicine, it became evident that its efficacy in preventing diseases or addressing the root causes of inflammatory disorders was limited. The use of pharmaceuticals, while potentially alleviating symptoms, often led to an imbalance, triggering additional disease processes.

Terra holds a Master’s in the Science of Nurse Practitioners, reflecting her dedication and expertise in healthcare. Her commitment to advancing her knowledge is evident through her active participation in numerous Restorative Medicine conferences, where she continually seeks to expand her understanding of innovative and holistic health approaches. Furthering her expertise, Terra completed a Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Metabolic Medicine and acquired certifications in IV Therapy, Ozone Therapy, Prolozone, Advanced Prolozone, Peptide Therapy, Platelet Rich Plasma, and Stem Cell Therapy. This extensive training equips her with a comprehensive skill set, enabling her to offer a wide range of cutting-edge therapies to her patients.

Through ongoing education and certifications, Terra has discovered the abundant healing resources found in nature. She appreciates that the medicine we often seek is right in our own backyards, recognizing the immense potential of herbal supplements. By addressing deficiencies or areas needing support, she facilitates healing and restores health, moving beyond merely managing symptoms with pharmaceuticals. I have struggled with diabetes and other health issues for the past 15 years. Going through the traditional health care system has not been the best experience.
